Oman is an Arab state in southwest Asia bordered by UAE, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. With rocky mountains bordering north and south, much of central Oman is desert. Oman’s climate is hot and dry.

Nizwa Castle, a stunning and beautiful castle, was a Sultan’s headquarters during the 17th century. Another castle believed to predate Islam is the restored Naki Castle that sits atop a 650 foot rocky area in the Western Hajar Mountains and overlooks beautiful palm farms.
A top tourist attraction, Jabal Akhdar, with beautiful views and balmy climate, is referred to as “The Green Mountain” -the highest peak in the Eastern Hajar Mountains.
Wadi Daikah is a magnificent natural sculpture where water runs through the canyon sometimes washing away everything in its path. Canyon walls extend to 5500 feet in some areas with canyon widths in spots as little as 39 feet.
Seaturtles are attracted to Oman’s shores and the country’s marine borders with beautifully colored fish, corals and exotic marine life offer some of the best dive sites in the world.
